I learned customer service in restaurants, how to handle immense stress in flight school, and how to build systems from the ground up in corporate America.

By the time I was creating training curriculum for brand-new technology and helping entire teams figure out what came next, I was very comfortable being the person with the plan... And I was damn good at it.

What I wasn’t using enough? My creativity. My eye for design. The part of my brain that wanted to make something feel as good as it functioned.

Then I planned my own wedding.


Before weddings, I spent years learning how to keep complicated things moving. Restaurants. Flight school. Corporate training. Turns out, I was becoming a wedding planner one weird career move at a time.

From Minnesota to Missouri to Utah

The big brands had all the money. The small brands had all the soul. And no one was handing the second group a big enough microphone. [Enter me, stage left]

Since then I’ve helped couples stop shrinking themselves to fit some idea of what a "perfect wedding" looks like — and start showing up in their weirdest, most creative form.

And suddenly all of those weirdly specific skills had somewhere to go. Planning my wedding gave me the piece I’d been missing: creativity. I could obsess over the logistics and the design. Solve problems and make something beautiful. And for the first time, every part of my brain was invited to the party.

Turns out, I wasn’t changing careers. I was finally putting all of my weirdly specific skills in the same room. And I was all in. 

On my way to find the weird little thing that makes your wedding unforgettable.

Because you don’t want to spend all this money just to host the same wedding you’ve seen 100 times.
